Overview

Cecon is an established computer technology retailer based in Germany looking to transition from a traditional brick-and-mortar and showcase presence into a robust, modern e-commerce operation.

Note: This project was developed as a comprehensive, fully functional high-fidelity prototype to pitch for Cecon's digital transformation.

The Vision

Cecon needed to scale their business by launching an online storefront. The core challenges revolved around bridging the gap between their existing inventory systems and a new web platform, catering to a localized European market, and strictly adhering to stringent regional privacy laws.

The Solution

I engineered a feature-complete e-commerce application utilizing WordPress, Divi, and WooCommerce, designed to prove scalability and seamless automation.

  • Dynamic Database Integration: To demonstrate automated inventory management, I mapped and imported a subset of Cecon’s product database via a complex CSV matrix. This established a system capable of automatically updating live pricing and stock levels directly on the storefront.

  • End-to-End E-Commerce Funnel: Developed a complete user journey, encompassing a high-performance store landing page, interactive shopping cart logic, and a secure, streamlined checkout flow.

  • Localization & Multi-Language Support: Engineered the site natively in German to align with the company's primary demographic, while implementing an agile translation plugin to make the storefront instantly accessible to a global market.

  • GDPR Legal Compliance: Integrated a robust cookie consent and privacy management banner, ensuring the platform was fully compliant with European Union GDPR regulations right out of the box.

The Technical Takeaway

While the company ultimately chose a different route for their final rollout, this project stands as a powerful proof of concept. It showcases my ability to handle complex e-commerce architecture, manage database migrations, implement multilingual localization, and navigate strict international legal compliance standards.
